The ‘metamorphoses’ of the North-East
And so the Venetian ‘periphery’ becomes a laboratory-territory: Marini’s essay
In 2012, he had dubbed them ‘frontier innovators’: that breed of entrepreneurs, professionals and key figures in the social life of the North-East who have turned the ‘Venetian periphery’ into a hub of development. Now, three years on, the sociologist Daniele Marini has found in ‘metamorphoses’ – in the Lucretian rather than the Kafkaesque sense – the paradigm through which to describe the Triveneto region. The book, entitled *Le metamorfosi*, is being published by Marsilio by the director of the Community Media Research think-tank, who is also a lecturer at the University of Padua.
