The number of authorised hours under the Cassa integrazione scheme fell significantly in the first seven months of this year in Veneto, compared with the same period in 2014, in line with a trend affecting much of the country, but with an overall reduction of 36 per cent \u2013 better than the North-East average (-33 per cent) and the national average (-30 per cent). This has been reported by INPS, and the most interesting figure is the decline in the \u2018extraordinary\u2019 component of the scheme \u2013 which is normally linked to corporate crises \u2013 accounting for just under two-thirds of the total and which has also fallen by 36 per cent (-55 per cent in July alone).<\/p>\n
All well and good \u2013 the indicator has been trending downwards for many months now \u2013 but be careful not to get carried away with long-term forecasts. This recommendation comes from Daniele Marini, scientific director of Community Media Research, who, in support of it, limits himself to a single observation. \u201cUntil a few months ago, Greece was our main concern and we were all banking on the driving force of the BRIC countries.
